If the Church had recognized women as Priestess, Prophet, or teacher 2,000 years ago, might their dress, attributions, and descriptions be more integrated with the many male saints? God said, “I am, the I am” and Christ said, “I live in you and you live in me.” Mary is the first woman and first disciple to understand how those realities translate into daily life. No gender distinction is required for knowledge, therefore, I have presented her as a teacher, Priestess Prophet, and one who knows ritual and sacrament.
