There has been so much Dialogue between denominations; Lutherans, Episcopal and Catholic. Smaller denominations of Baptists, Congregationalists and Christian Science have had other debates and concerns which exhausted their patience and stamina for resolve. Conversations and extensive deliberation boil over as we examine the possibilities for ecumenical behavior between denominations. Words do not always help us so that is why I created the Art Installation for Peace.
More than this, dialogue between Buddhists, Muslims, Hebrews, Christians, Hindus and more have only begun in the past 50 years, before that they effected one another only marginally. What does each group have to give up to arrive at an inclusive understanding rather than who is best, better or right?
In particular, we each have access to spiritual healing when we reflect on the power of collective thinking. My father in law used to go out to his field and pray for rain, hold the dirt in his hand and ask for guidance, he sang with the community songs to bring the rain and it rained! Belief is that easy and simple, do not be a hindrance to another. Live side by side like in individuals represented in the Installation for Peace.
Art can help make the I become we?
We act as if it is just me when actually we are dependent on everyone. Children do not grow up and become fantastic individuals if they are left alone. A garden full of seeds planted one day does not flourish if it is let alone. We do not get on an airplane and fly to another city alone. Each and every event in everyone’s life is intermingled with everyone else’s. In today’s era, we are inter-dependent on the well-being of all nations, ethically and ecologically. We are not alone in our beliefs either.
Our families, communities, nations, and religions change by sharing. I created the Art Installation for Peace
We are affecting each other on deeper and deeper levels because of our individual and deliberate expressions of “I”. This constant desire for independence has left us lonely and is not bringing us to a good and whole place. Rather we find ourselves fragmented and lost with no root or responsibility.
If you have an interior dialogue…..
Seeing how and what you love, will you understand why I did the Art Installation for Peace. Words have always been accompanied by image. There is much to explore in both without disagreement.
Ancient guidelines for human behavior around the world have the potential to nourish a more peaceful world. If each of us focuses on peace, everyone’s intentions, desires and actions will affect the well-being of the many. Setting our desire for Peace on Earth will transform our rituals and sacraments into inclusive and comprehensive moments of awareness. Believe with your whole heart that one day there will be no more oppression, injury, torture, or killing of other human beings. Contribute to a better world with your, daily life style, in what we do, say and think.
