Religious spirituality is the only human endeavor which has attempted to provide us with a model to pattern our individual lives. Our religious traditions encourage ordinary people to live and think at levels of integrated complexity that would be otherwise impossible. If we are going to transcend the misguided and destructive values that are leading us to the brink of disaster, the future will require us to embrace more knowledge and wisdom. The definition of transcendence is existence or experience beyond the normal or physical level.
As we approach the 21st Century, inter-religious dialogue will be an indispensable tool for charting an alternative course. The dialogue between us will affirm the positive value of diversity through constructive interaction and open listening. A renaissance in the mind of humanity will open the possibility of integrating a living ecosystem with Eco-technology.
New Transcended Mind

Ecological problems and Spiritual insights are linked, like it or not; if we continue to ignore this relationship, our future on the earth will remain in crisis. The health of the planet is the greatest challenge that has confronted humanity in its entire history. Every day we are being forced to learn, adapt, and evolve because we have threatened the global ecosystem. Envisioning ways to transcend religion and tolerance in our daily lives will serve as the template for humankind’s emerging global attitude. Creative co-operation between us all is a challenge but not impossible, it requires learning that we are spiritual being here to go beyond the limits of our physical existence.
The Dialogue among the World’s Diverse Religions
We must expand and embrace conversations concerning ethical business practices where resources are concerned. Social responsibility by the business community and spiritual communities has to re calibrate our eco matrix, where the planet is our friend; respected, protected, and embraced for her uniqueness. Religious leaders have an obligation to steer their community to a more global awareness.
Our communities must develop discussion groups to explore our understanding of living creatures and their interconnected evolution to our own. Developing an ethos from this perspective, humankind will evoke a sense of humility. We can envision and respond to each other and the Earth with awe and wonder for all that God has created.
The negative news on every media channel has not helped us. The central task before us is to learn a new transcendent religion of tolerance of caring for what every nation does. We can replenish resources instead of abusing them. Recognizing the amount of waste humanity produces because of our needs and choices is a good place to begin our transformation. Plastic, water, trees, air, oceans, food, gasoline, top soil, ocean sand, etc. all this is being wasted and thrown away. There is no away any more, there is only our planetary home. Listening and caring for the Earth is of paramount importance for our collective future.
St Ignatius of Loyola said it.
“Humanity was created to praise, revere, and serve the creator.” From this it follows, we should not impede anything with preference. If we can transcend desiring health more than sickness, riches more than poverty, honor more than dishonor, a long life more than a short one, we will be well on our way to balanced lives. Better we choose that which will lead us to commending all we do, think, and say to the creator.
