Mary Magdalene writes her Gospel. Was Mary Magdalene a mystic or mother? Was Mary Magdalene a recognized teacher for other women in the Christ story? Iconographers have expanded the attributes associated with her over the past thousand years. Miller designs Mary Magdalene icons that are not all based on biblical evidence. There continue to be investigations and new conclusions for what could be her whole story including what happened after the resurrection? For my part, complete explanations are thin. I paint and pray and ask for guidance. Designing new Mary Magdalene icons allows for interesting thoughts and amazing conclusions written in egg tempera, stone pigments. We need more female images of saints.
