In the Gospel of John, it says “the Word of God was made flesh and dwelt among us”. The statement is powerful, if we believe this to be true. Likewise, every word that spills from your mouth has the potential to change and alter the world around you. God’s imagined divinity lives in you. God formed us like himself, to live with the mystery of his love housed within; we have the potential to nurture either our divinity or our human condition.
Our divine condition is continually expressed in daily life. We can override our natural animal tendency to be fearful, to flee from pain, to horde, to destroy, abuse, or injure others for our own gain. We CAN elevate our awareness and cling to our divine condition as we live amid a society that offers us a world without God!
Humanity longs for God. We see our failed Divinity in poverty, brokenness, illness, death, or our basic fear of the unknown and loss of control. Our world may seem dark, filled with words and ideologies that do not fit with God’s original plan for man; we have failed to awaken to our divine likeness. Imagined divinity lives in you and your true self is already light, energy, and kindness.
1-Be the Light.
You are a messenger of God, so live in the light. Be your brightest self without hindering others. Live and express words that are life giving, use your words to enlighten, heal, and nurture those around you. Societies around the world need to recognize the difference between life giving divine word and the foolish word of men. We can be new sentinels, with messages of peace from on high. Lift your voice as the imagined divinity lives in you.
Two thousand years ago, John the Baptist felt the line that separates the darkness from the light. He stood in the river and declared things were about to change! Humanity was being given a gift of divine presence coming to us as a great teacher. John pointed to a glimpse of the light, however Jesus would BE” the boundless light of God. Through him we would realize the imagined divinity living in us. Christ becomes the light/life that emerges in our relationships, to displace the lies and dark ideologies that lead us away from our divine condition.
2- Use your Divine Energy.
God has spoken through the lives of mystics since ancient times. In Jesus we have an example of a life lived. Jesus the man became Christ, the energy of love that powers humanity. He comes to us as divine energy. It is not our light or energy, but the divine presence in and through all of Creation that moves us. So, lift your voice with confidence because imagined divinity lives in you, believe it, and manifest it.
3 Fill the world with Kindness.
Advent ushers in a new beginning every year. This imagined divinity that lives in you only knows kindness. Allow God to flow through you, use Jesus of Nazareth as the lamppost to shed light and energy on all your acts of kindness. Let your life be filled by his teaching and communicate to others the divine kindness that has been given to you. The light energy, and kindness we see manifest in Jesus the Christ can be reflected in your life, it is the same divine self in you. Be Kind, be the Light and use the Divine Energy given to you to be wise and loving, beginning this year, today.
