Jesus asks his followers to love one another as he loves them, he demonstrates two ways of living into that commandment. Through Eucharist and Living Peace Together.
The first is the eating of a common meal. Eating together is one of the greatest pleasures human beings know. It is difficult to eat together when one is angry with their fellow diners as anyone who has ever made the foolish error of thinking family Thanksgiving will be different this year. But do not stop the effort. Eating together bonds people together and sharing wine together builds history between us and there is always hope for joyful celebration. Eucharist and Living Peace Together in peace is meditation and lifestyle.
Be the Spirit of Peace
We have little reason to believe that any of the Gospel accounts of a last supper are historical but they give us a great story from where to model our lives.
Does a common meal with friends become a ritual called Eucharist for everyone?
He took bread, gave thanks for it, broke it and gave it to them. This is easy, try it, be the celebrant who takes the risk reminding everyone at your table that being together is grace. Sharing a common meal is an important way of learning to get along. Almost all people eat at least one meal everyday. ( at least everyone Should have that small grace and blessing) make your meal with someone this Easter Day , share and give thanks, it is one way to make peace and a lasting memory of it!.
